Wooo-ho-ho-ooow! These r super extra, I'd like to create icons like these! I LOVE: literati, peach, costar, sitting, soft, rotate, blending, wings, text, whole cat and ac sets! :) I adore this actress and "Belle" is one of my favourite movies.

I don't know who the actress is the fandom (guess who - I suppose that's Doctor Who, or "New Who" as I call it?) But WOW WOW WOW to these icons. Just gorgeous!

Favorites? Soft and AC5 are the immediate standouts for me, but also costar, blending, literati, Cat2, AC1 and AC4.

I have no idea how to achieve that fantastastic blend of clarity and softness without pixelation that you do in smaller figures (AC5, literati *points to your Harmony icon* ) but I'm in awe of your skill.

Thank you my dear! It's actually not fandom specific, that comm. Just a kind of luck of the draw thing. You pick a number and are assigned a celeb. It's quite fun as it makes you challenge yourself if you don't know your celeb.

And also, I'm thrilled you like these. I find doing a little sharpening (or Topaz - a plug in) when the image is larger helps keep the clarity of images in my icons :)

A few months back I did some icons for a tv show I'd never actually seen and wondered if I'm the only person who does that - obviously not! But also, does not having seen the thing affect my ability to make icons of it (I'm reacting to just the image and not able to dig deeper.) How do you deal with that?

I actually would love to comment on all your posts here but I don't think I'd ever do anything else; they're just incredibly pretty. I'm loving the combo of your "old style" with your exploration of textures, you're creating an entirely new (to my eyes) style for yourself.

I find doing a little sharpening (or Topaz - a plug in) when the image is larger helps keep the clarity of images in my icons :)

I got out of that habit when I switched from Photobucket to ipiccy (partly because ipiccy is better at fine sharpening automatically when I downsize than PB) so I'm having to get back into it. Comlodge mentioned to me the "unsharp" tool in PS; I have to fake it by going back and forth between soften/bloom and sharpen.
